This Privacy Policy explains how Selay (“we”, “us”) processes personal data collected via watcher.selay.io. By using the report form or contacting us, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Data we collect

• Report form submissions — the report category, subject, message body and optional contact you provide (email or Telegram username).
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, timestamp and Cloudflare Turnstile verification token, collected to prevent abuse.
• Server logs — request URL, status code and referrer for the duration of the standard log rotation window.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics, and we do not sell personal data.

2. Why we process it

• To triage, verify and respond to reports of suspicious sites, disputes and improvement suggestions.
• To detect and prevent spam, phishing of the report form, and other abuse.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

The legal basis is your consent (given via the checkbox on the report form) and our legitimate interest in operating a secure public service.

3. Who sees it

Reports are delivered to the Selay Watcher team over an encrypted channel. We do not share personal data with third parties except (a) infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the service (Cloudflare for bot protection, our hosting provider) and (b) where required by law.

4. Storage and retention

Reports are stored on our server for as long as needed to act on them and to maintain an audit trail — typically up to 24 months. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to team@selay.io. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already performed.

6. Security

Transport is protected by TLS. Access to the reports database is restricted to authorised personnel. We use Cloudflare Turnstile as a bot-mitigation layer on the report form.
